March 11, 2010 at 7:30 pm: THE NEXT EAA CHAPTER 203 MEETING will be held at North County Airport, in Jim Cook’s Palm Beach Avionics hangar. Directions: from the junction of the Beeline Highway (SR710) and PGA Blvd (SR786) go 2.6 miles NW; turn left at the airport sign, then cross the train tracks. Follow the road to Jim’s hangar #4 (2.5 miles from tracks), which is on the left-hand side before you get to the FBO terminal.

March 11: The March meeting will be devoted to a Homebuilt Dirigible by Buddy Thompson.

April 8: Jeff Schans, Thunderbolt Manager, Lycoming Engines: Jeff Schans is a JeffSchansThunderbolt.jpg (71076 bytes)seasoned aviation professional who has put his knowledge and experience to work helping Lycoming Thunderbolt customers design high-performance custom engine solutions. A commercial pilot with a multi-engine rating, Jeff began his aviation career in the United States Marines as a C-130 Power Plant Mechanic. He went on to earn a degree in Aviation Maintenance Technology. He is an FAA certified air frame and power plant mechanic who holds an inspection authorization. Jeff joined Lycoming in 2006 as a field service engineer, providing technical support and guidance to Lycoming’s global customer base. In 2008, he was chosen Thunderbolt manager with responsibilities for worldwide Thunderbolt sales and customer support.  To view a PDF brochure on the Thunderbolt, Click Here.
